Picture for TETRA Application is a unique Solution for Cassidian Tetra Radio. This Application Code was tested and developed from scratch by my Company.

PIC4TETRA includes the Server and the Client Application. The Client Application is a Java APP running on the Cassidian Tetra Radio Terminal.
The Client Application is transferred via Content Manager Tool. The Applications runs solely. No Licensing. Just Install and Run. Means the Receiver Application is free at all. Only the Server Application needs Licensing because my Coders does not work for free and looking back these few have – all of them – I have to thank a lot for developing Features into real and thank them for their patience with me and for my Features.

- Server Application can send a Picture to an ISSI
- Server Application can send a Picture to an GSSI

The received Picture is saved permanent inside the Cassidian Radio Terminal so it can be watched again offline
We built Error Re-Send Mechanism in case the SDS-4 Text Message does not receive the Client- Radio Terminal ISSI over DMO or TMO.
The Server Application connects to the Server-ISSI by TCP-IP Address. A Localhost Address as like 127.0.0.1 TCP Port 12345 or a LAN-IP Address can be used, too. The Server Application is an isolated System that does not need Internet to operate.
Picture Application Version: v3 is recommended Version
v3: The Pictures or Text Informations that are sent are saved on the Application Folder
v2: The Pictures or Text Informations that are sent are saved on the inside a Database

How much Time does it take to send the Picture:
- In DMO: 140 Characters per Message are sent. For TMO concatenated Text Messages are sent. So PIC4TMO Version is two Times faster. We are able to change the Size of the concatenated SDS-4 Text according to that Amount of Characters that your TMO Infrastructure (BTS) offers- Regarding the Picture TMO Version the Application was tested with EADS TEA1 and TEA2 Infrastructure by using 140- 300 Characters per Message.
How to prepare the Picture:
- The Screen Size of THR880i is 100×100 Pixel. The Screen Size for THR 9-Series is 240 x 320 Pixels with 262144 Colours. Use a Picture Application as like Irfan Viewer to set Size and to compress the JPG Picture to the Size as listed above.
Possible to send a Picture to Many Receivers (GSSI) using PIC4IP Application
Picture to Group Sending works only for Picture DMO and TMO Version. PIC4IP Version uses IP Address for the Sender and Receiver Radio Terminal . Means you can send a Picture only to one Cassidian Radio Terminal using our PIC4IP Application
Is it possible to request Text Information only
- Yes. You can add / spread the Text Informations by yourself. If the Server Application does not detect a Picture with the same Name as the Text File inside the Server Side Picture Folder (v3) then only the Text File is transferred over the Air.
