Test Lab
- Connect your Radio Terminal to the Test Lab via VPN
What to test:
- Attach and test your THR880i, THR9(i), TH9, TH1n, TMR880i Device.
- Test Messaging in DMO or DMO Repeater Mode or TMO
- Send an Alarm => so Unit Alert to a ISSI or GSSI
- Send a Status or Text Message and check whether your HEX to Text Convertion works
- Radio B send a Message to Radio A which is attached to LAN-SDS. Check whether you can read this Message on your Remote Location.
- Check whether Messages and Status Messages can be sent amd received using LAN-SDS

LAN-SDS
uses the Datacable attached to the Radio Terminal as
as TCP-IP Interface
OPTION – Without Internet ( and Software Solution)
- Connect locally via Data Cable and IP to TCP Converter Tool PiraCom using your local LAN IP Address and the TCP Port of your choice
- Connect locally via Data Cable and IP to TCP Converter Tool PiraCom using your Localhost IP Address 127.0.0.1 and the TCP Port Address of your choice
OPTION – With Internet ( and Software Solution)
- Connect locally via Data Cable and IP to TCP Converter Tool PiraCom using your local LAN IP Address and the TCP Port of your choice – Use VPN to connect from remote. Means you can connect from remote using a LAN IP Adress Connection to the TCP Port of your choice
OPTION – Without Internet ( and Hardware Solution)
- Connect local via Data Cable attached to Perle IOLAN Hardware Converter which is a Hardware IP to TCP Converter . So connect to this Device and the Tetra Radio Terminal using a LAN IP and TCP Port of your choice
OPTION – With Internet ( and Hardware Solution)
- Connect local via Data Cable attached to Perle IOLAN Hardware Converter which is a Hardware IP to TCP Converter . So connect to this Device and the Tetra Radio Terminal using a LAN IP and TCP Port of your choice by using inbuilt VPN Server.
OPTION – Without Internet ( Provider Solution )
- buy a P2P or P2MP Ethernet Connection ( expensive but secure ) because it is Provider Location A works with Location XY that works without internet
OPTION – Without Internet ( Provider Solution )
- buy a VPN with LAN Routing as like a P2P or Hub and Spoke Multipoint Connection ( expensive but secure )
Another OPTION
a) Risky Option – open TCP Port or your LAN -> less Risky ( turn Internet off )
b) Risky Option – open TCP Port or your Router -> not recommended ( turn Internet on)
c) Establish a LAN Connection f.ex. by P2P beam radio resp. license free radio relay systems.
Professional Equipment: -> Perle IOLAN Device Hardware Converter or just do it yourself
